Southport Model Railway Village

Opening in 1996 Southport Model Railway Village is a 1:18 scale landscape, featuring a town, village and the surrounding countryside whose architecture will be instantly recognisable to those living in Merseyside and Lancashire. With 500m of railway it was the largest G gauge railway of its type in the UK when first built.

On the nearly 1.5 acre site are two large ponds connected by a waterway which is home to wildlife such as ducks and moorhens. The whole site has been designed to be as easy as possible to navigate for both wheelchairs and buggies and there is a teashop where you can purchase refreshments. Dogs are also allowed if kept on leads.

Family run and built entirely on site Southport Model Railway Village is open from April to October each year and is a lovely day out for all the family.
