21/09/2019 - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 22/09/2019 - 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Please Note: This is an old event.

September 21st & 22nd 2019.

2019 marks Leigh Model Railway Society's final year at our current location. Our new, much bigger venue, still located in Leigh, will be announced at this years show and preparations are already well under way for 2020 and beyond!

For 2019 we have several 'hands on' layouts for the children including Thomas the Tank Engine. There are 12 layouts attending for 2019 including a large 20' x 10' OO gauge layout from Tame Valley Model Railway Club, Leigh Club's new N Gauge American layout with operating container crane, Neston Colliery a 16mm layout, Port Ross an Australian layout and others. The club will have their club stand once again and there are refreshments available in the second hall. Parking is available in the Hall car park and about a 2 minute walk from the Hall, near the old railway arches, there is a large council owned car park which is free every Saturday until March 2020 and is always free on a Sunday (please check the pay and display notice board to ensure that the council have not changed anything). There will also be a raffle to win some prizes kindly donated by local model shop Sawyer Models. So come along and join for our final exhibition in our current venue before our brand new bigger exhibition from 2020 onwards. We look forward to seeing you all in September!
